What does the song “Yesterday” by the Beatles really mean?
It is the story of a guy who is in a uncomfortable situation, it is not that bad though.
He finds out that, in the past, he was living thoughtlessly, not realizing how great his life was.
He realizes he now misses what was so great just a little ago, while he had not the consciousness to be aware of it.
He apparently was recently dumped by a girl to whom he believes he must have said something wrong though he does not realizes what.
He is in a shadowy place and does not know what really led him there.
He understands that it is not always right to think ahead, that the best is not always “yet to come”.
The guy was a visionary when wrote that (well he actually dreamed this song,… might explain thevisionaryy): compare the 60s and today, back then, the girls were screaming about seeing the Beatles. Nowadays girls scream for Tokio Hotel. That is what time does. This is the reason why we all should believe in yesterday.
