My truck has no juice and won’t start. Nada – nothing at all?
I have a 1989 Ford Bronco2 – 2wdr. I haven’t tried to drive in nearly a week, but it seemed fine then. Today when I turn it over, nothing. Not a click click click, not a va va va va va, nothing…
I took my jumper cables and hooked them up to my battery and touched the other ends together (don’t do this at home kids) and nothing… not even the smallest snap crackle or pop.
So the battery is obviously dead. The vehicle is in my garage but I live alone and I just moved here so I don’t know anybody within 250 miles. So since I can’t drive to Autozone or Napa, I figure my best bet is a short taxi ride to Walmart (I hate that place) but I don’t want to go twice so I really need to get the right stuff on the first trip… Do I just buy a battery and replace it? Do I buy a battery charger? Could it be a cable or solenoid?
Just trying to work out a plan so I can get it fixed on the first trip.

A good battery should last a week without the vehicle being driven, Yours is likely done. Yes you need a new battery, battery post cleaning tool, and get a package of the battery post anti corrosion felt pads, you put them on before the terminals go on. The pads prevent terminal corrosion, only cost a couple of dollars. Make sure when you buy the battery its fully charged, they should be, but since you have to drive a long ways, double check this.
