How do I save my pictures to a USB “portable memory”?
It’s one of those little things that plugs into the USB port and can hold 1 GB of memory (I have no clue how much that means). Anyway, once I plug it into my laptop how do I save my pics to it?? It did not come with any instructions…I guess I should know how to do it but once it’s plugged in there aren’t really any prompts on what to do next. Thanks!!
I assume you are using a Windows computer.
Find Windows Explorer and open it, and look for the name of the USB drive in the left pane (the USB should already be plugged in).
Then go to the folder that has your photos. Click the files that interest you, and then hold down the left mouse button and “drag and drop” the files on the USB drive name. This will copy the files for you.
Wait for the little light on the USB memory to stop blinking.
Then right-click on the USB memory name in the left pane, you will get a drop-down menu. Select “Eject” and after a moment the USB name will disappear from the left pane. It is then safe to remove the USB.
Or, you can shut down the computer. Once the computer is finished shutting down, it is safe to remove the USB.
