Doesn’t work when I am sweaty
The heart rate monitor works great when I am sitting down, but as soon as I start to sweat (which is when I need it to work), it can’t get a reading.
Not very good
Let me start with something positive. When you can get a reading it is pretty accurate. Getting a reading is the hard part. I bought this to take to the gym every morning. I exercise strenuously and wanted to monitor my heart rate because I am 60. You can’t be exercising and get a reading. Sometimes I can go minutes with my finger pressed to the sensor and not get a reading. Don’t even thing of using it biking or running. The technology doesn’t seem like it should be that difficult but if this model is any indication the technology is rocket science. I looking forward to it breaking or the battery running down so I can get myself to buy one of the chest strap models. I’m to cheap or i’d throw this one away and but the chest strap model now.

Although I have been a Polar watch person I recently changed over to sportline because of price and no strap. Don’t let them kid you this watch is very acurate. There is just enough software programs,”HR, calorie count, duel time” to keep you going without burden of to much information. Happy I made the change and I don’t miss the belt. Happy running.
Excellent heart rate monitor
The Sportline Solo 925M heart rate monitor, while a bit expensive, is well worth the price. It is sensitive and does not appear to have any problem making a reading.
Of course, since it is a strapless monitor, it does not provide a constant read and you need to press the button to get a reading. The reading comes up in three or four seconds. If you continue to hold the button down after the reading comes up the reading will continue to update and show the trend of your heart rate.
The monitor is a bit on the hefty side and is a bit thicker than a regular watch. However, because of its size, the display is quite large and easy to read. You can also turn off the display to conserve the battery when the monitor is not in use. All you need to do to turn the display back on is to press one of the buttons.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a strapless heart rate monitor.

After much debate and reading the reviews here, I picked this watch. It did what as advertised and then some. Comfortable to ware all day, I usually only have it on when I am working out. I like the fact that it has no chest strap to mess around with. When checked against the readout while on the treadmill at the hospital cardio rehab appointment, the rate has always been within 1 beat count. For me, the Sportline 925m is what I was looking for and well worth the price. I’m very hard on any watch, so I’ll have to see how this one holds up. I’d get another one.
