I’m in the uk,should i have given my bank details to a sky digital rep who called at my door?
He said he was working for another company & was offering sky digital on a cheap instalation offer.He took my bank details and £30 from me and said when my viewing card arrives give him a call on the number on the card that came through my door and he’ll then arrange my instalation.I’m wondering whether it was wise of me in giving my bank details to someone calling round my council block of flats offering deals for sky digital tv.I’m wondering whether i should cancel my bank account.He said he works for a company called Chapmans in the Birmingham area.Could this caller be a genuine shy installer.
Here’s the website for Chapmans, phone their sky department and ask them. If they know nothing about stop the payments from your bank.
