Affordable Handheld Optical Power Meter
Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has announced the release of its compact optical power meter used for absolute power measurement as well as relative loss measurement of optical fibers. This rugged optical power meter is an essential test instrument for telecommunications and CATV maintenance and is also well-suited for use in fiber optic test labs. It saves test time and decreases potential errors due to its ability to automatically recognize wavelengths.
This handheld optical power meter, model 08111, offers calibrated wavelengths including 850nm, 980nm, 1310nm and 1550nm. It displays optical power in mW, dB and dBm and tests optical power within the wavelength range of 800 to 1650nm. The meter features a low battery warning and quick response time without requiring warm-up. This easy-to-use power meter has optional interchangeable connectors such as FC, SC and ST and can work continuously for twenty-eight hours when it is fully charged. Additionally, it is water and dust resistant making it ideal for field testing.
