sandisk secure digital cards
I would like to buy this Sandisk 4GB Secure Digital SD HC Memory Card (SDSDB-4096, BULK, No Reader).?
What does it mean by the “No Reader in the description?
If that’s the cheap, blue coloured Sandisk SD card you are considering…then I would strongly advise against buying it, because it’s only a standard speed card and is not really fast enough for use in a digital camera.
For a digital camera, you should buy a fast card such as the Sandisk Ultra II or the Extreme III SD or SDHC.
Some SDHC (high capacity SD) cards come with a card reader, some don’t.
If you only intend to connect the camera to your computer by the USB cable, then you don’t need a card reader.
But, using a card reader is usually a faster means of transferring images. If using an SDHC card, then it’s best to use an SDHC compatible card reader. So, buying an SDHC card with reader makes a good choice.
