replacement batteries ups
I have a Sony DCR-DVD106E and i want a replacement battery.?
What difference will a 2200mAh or a 3200mAh battery make. The current Sony battery has no mark on it saying what mAh it is.
I don’t want to run the risk of blowing the camcorder up and i have no idea what mAh is so if anyone can help before i wreck everything it would be much appreciated.
mAh is a function of how much power the battery can store… Higher mAh = longer camera use time. A 3200mAh battery will last longer than a 2200mAh battery. mill-Amp hour is not a function of power output.
If you get a Sony branded battery associated with your camcorder, then if it blows up, Sony owes you. If you get a third party battery because it is cheap and it blows up, Sony does not owe you.

Refer to page 21 and 22 of the English version for reference to the different model numbers and their recording or playback times. The differences between these batteries is the mAh rating – hence playback or recording times differ.
