Toyota Prius Battery Replacments, What you need to know that will make you sick
So, I have been buying and selling Prius cars that have bad battery packs in them for two years now. I can’t believe what I have come to learn.

I am going to explain to you a few reasons that you should reconsider your options for WHEN you as a Toyota Prius owner are going to have to buy a Toyota Prius battery replacement for your either Generation I, or Generation II battery packs.
I know that you don’t know me, and since I would never ask anyone to trust someone they have never met, lets just stick to accountability shale we??
Fact:
When you go into a local Toyota dealership, they will help you by giving you ar Toyota Prius Battery Replacement!
My Opinion:
Good right? Wrong, this will cost you around 4 to 5 thousand dollars! I don’t know about your bank account, but mine is never, ever ready to take that kind of a blow.
Fact:
You can buy an already rebuilt battery from places like eBay, craigslist, and other such websites.
My Opinion:
While this is way cheaper, and can cost you closer to $1,800. This is still not the best solution for you for a few reasons. Which I am happy to tell you right now!
Reason #1.
While buying your Toyota Prius battery replacement from eBay may seem like a great way to save yourself a hand full of money, this is in no way the best, nor the cheapest solution for repairing your dead Toyota Prius battery.
Reason #2.
You don’t know who rebuilt it, there are no guarantees from where ever it is this battery comes from. For all you know you can expect this thing to die, and another 6 months from now be right back where you started!?
Reason #3.
You can rebuild this battey by yourself for around $500. Weather it is a Gen I, or Gen II, 01′- 09′. They can be rebuilt using simple hand tools you can find in your every day tool box.
