s-Video cable is not working from Laptop to TV..?!?
i bought an S-Video cable yesterday.
.
couldn’t connect my Laptop to the TV..
.
my laptop is Lenovo 3000 N100. nVidia 7300 512 MB..
.
do u think i need Special nVidia s-Video for it to work..
.
because the only s-video cable that ever worked was original nVidia cable that came with my PC’s nVidia 6600 Graphics Card..
..
can u please tell me all the options i have ti make this work..?!
you have the correct cable for the television, You just need to configure the output and activate the s-video.
Step 1.
This is a little hack that sometimes works depending on chipset.
Have the cable connected BEFORE you turn on the laptop, not all are plug and play, I do know that the intel 945(gma950 chip) chipsets and above are P&P.
Step 2. When your desktop loads up, right click the desktop and select properties, click the display tab and find the check box that says extend my desktop to the monitor.
Step 3. If you have the correct vga driver and cpl driver and context menu driver installed you can bypass step 2 and go straight in the the nvidia control system via the control panel. Here you will find an option the configure that laptop to output to a external PAL tv system.
If you have a hi-def telly (lcd or plasma) skip the s-video cable and buy a cheap vga cable.
