Original Gateway
How can I restore my laptop without original cd’s?
I have a Gateway laptop that I need to restore, It asks for the original cd’s but I don’t have them. Is there anywhere to download this or something else I can do. I can not start the computer in any mode, I can only get to the restore screen and setup screen. I called the Gateway tech and gave them the code the computer gave me and they said I have to restore windows. It will cost $20 and 1 to 2 weeks to get the CD’s.
The laptop is a Gateway MX6436. Windows will not load, I can get to the system setup screen or the restore system screen. Thats it.
I tried using a different Window XP cd and the laptop wouldn’t accept it.
that sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Unless you can find some else withh the resore disks. what model is it. Maybe somone hjas them.
