optima red batteries
Optima red or yellow top?
So, I need a new battery for the car and decided to upgrade the battery. I have between 800-1000 watts running for the sub and speakers, so would the red top work ok for me? or do I have to go with the yellow top?
well, I don’t car about the looks or the color, I am asking if I can get away with the red top because it is cheaper.
If you also plan to use this battery to start the engine, then a red top is the better choice. A yellow top is a good choice as a second battery, used to power the system with the engine off. If you plan to do your listening with the engine running, there’s no advantage to a yellow top over a red top battery.
