rechargeable lithium batteries vs rechargeable AA batteries?
The Kodak EasyShare M753 has a rechargeable lithium Ion battery, but I have an HP camera that I can use my own rechargeable AA batteries that I like. The Kodak is for my teenage daughter. Is this something that would need to be put on a charger each night? I like that my HP camera can use disposable batteries as well if I’m travelling and don’t want to truck my charger around with me so I’m wondering if I could use a disposable lithium Ion battery with this as well. Thanks for any input!
Your camera uses a lithium ion battery, which is not the same as a lithium battery (without the “ion”). You can charge it with the charger provided, or with a USB cable connected to a computer. As a previous poster mentioned, you don’t need to charge it every night. A fully charged new battery should get you at least 200 shots.
It cannot use any type of AA batteries, rechargeable or non-rechrageable. A lot of slim cameras are made the same way now, since a Li-ion battery is a lot lighter and thinner than AA batteries (usually you need 2 or 4).
