Are they safe in your camera? How long do they last?
I shoot a Nikon N80 and Sb50 which both require the pricy batteries

I hear you, Bro. My Elan 7e and Sekonic L-358 use CR123 batteries. They are very expensive!
It might be worth trying. I’ve had no personal experience with them but now that you have pointed them out I might give them a try.
I plan on watching the first batch I receive very carefully. Looking for signs of boiling, heating or bulging. If it takes a charge then I will test the output voltage. I definitely don’t want it higher than spec. Once it passes all that muster then I will give the battery a try.
