How do I tranfer pictures from my memory card to my computer?
I have a Lexar 128MB SD Card. I have a Casio Exilim EX-Z60 Digital Camera.
There are usually two ways.
1) if your camera came with a usb cable, you can hook it to your computer. Then you can either use the photo software that came with your computer (or with your camera) to get the pictures off. (I use a Mac, and often use iPhoto, or Image Capture. A pc would have other programs.) Advanced programs like Adobe Lightroom also do this, I think.
2) You can get a usb card reader that works like a floppy drive used to. You plug it in, and insert your card and it acts like a disk. (Sometimes you can even use your camera as a card reader.)
A lot of people prefer to hook up their camera and import the pictures into software, because the software will keep the pictures in a library, and will also give you a chance to manipulate the image.
