What are the advantage(s) of AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries over conventional lead-plate batteries?
They still have lead plates but the design is a bit different. The acid is held in the mats like a sponge holds water. They won’t spill or leak if tipped over. They are good for use in PWC’s also, in addition to what the other poster mentioned.
