latitude d630 batteries
Laptop CD/DVD drive replacement?
I have a dell latitude d630 laptop and it came with a battery module where the cd/dvd rom drive should be. now, i just slid the battery module out of the cd/dvd rom drive slot and replaced it with a cd/dvd rom drive. is that all i have to do or do i have to install a disk to get it up an running.???

The simple thing to do is turn the laptop on and see if it runs. Try inserting an audio CD and see if it plays and you can hear the music. If not, you may need to go to Dell’s website to get a driver update.
For future reference, try including your operating system (IE Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista Home. etc.) so anyone answering can give you more specific directions.
