I own a SONY PCG-955A Laptop (Yes it’s old) The battery in it won’t charge correctly. How to fix?
As you see, i have the PCG-955A laptop. The battery is the SONY Rechargeable Battery Pack PCGA-BP1N 14.8V/1700mAh.
Whenever I plug it in, the laptop will turn on, but if I ever take it out of the wall, it shuts off. I know it’s the battery’s fault.(It’s not charging even) I have trouble with restarting it too(And coming out of standby/hibernation)

But now to my question: Is there any way I can tinker with the battery to get it working again, instead of having to go out and buy a new one?
You’ll probably have to replace the battery. They wear out over time and eventually cannot hold a charge any more.
