There is a black shady spot that goes across the screen. It’s like an old tv would get for being next to something. But I never had my laptop near anything like that. It’s annoying and it makes watching videos horrible on my eyes. Is there anyway to get rid of this? It is an old compaq 1200 laptop and was working perfectly until the black see through spot just showed up. Please someone help.
It sounds like something is pushing against the LCD on your laptop. Lay your laptop’s monitor flat on a surface then view it from the side. if something is pushing that part of the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) down, then that’s your problem.
Otherwise, the lights of the monitor may have failed and it may require a new monitor.
