Question about the Sun in the 12 house?
From what I have read about the sun in 12 house it is concerned with alienation and searching of self together with a lack of leadership needs. However, although I have my sun in the 12 house, I don’t feel like I should stay “behind the scenes” and “contemplate life”. Yes, I need time alone just to recharge my batteries, but I love being around people. So, my question is : Is the sun’s power in the 12 house rather diminished by other factors? For instance, can mars and mercury in 1 house indicate assertiveness and ambition rather than withdrawal (12-house sun)? And what about Jupiter in 11 house which is concerned with friends and socializing? Just to mention in my case mars makes sextile with jupiter and mercury makes sextile with jupiter as well. Mercury and Mars are in conjunction. My sun and ascendant are in leo and there is a conjunction between the ascendant and the sun. I’d be really thankful if you share some opinion 
If your Sun is within 5 deg of the Ascendant, it is considered to be in the 1st house, not in the 12th which would account why you are not feeling like a recluse.
For one thing, Leo rising automatically makes you an energetic and temperamental person with a set personality. Energy is spent on self interest. In other words, you put the Self first.
With Sun, ruler of 1st placed in the 12th house, your personal energies would be used behind the scenes as you mentioned. It would make you undertake considerable preparation before a presentation.
With Mars in first, independenceis strong with a straight-forward attitude. Mars in leo is quite strong and on a physical appearance, often gives a scar or mark on the head or face.
With the conjunction to Mercury, the mind is quick and impulsive. You are probably very very talkative and somewhat impatient.You want everything does “yesterday” if possible. You would make a good teacher if you can overcome a pre-occupation of the self.
You probably have Cancer on the cusp of the 12th house. This position alone gives very strong pride. If you had a strong Sun in the 12th house, it would nake you more timid, more compassionate and would work better alone and out of the limelight.
As for the sextile to the 11th house, you live for the moment and often neglect to plan for the future. You should plan ahead but instead, you aretoo busy worrying about your current interests to take the time. You believe in yourself and live for themement. You have no doubt that you will succeed.
From Jupiter’s standpoint, you can accomplish anything you want as long as oyu understand the responsibilities that go along with it. Aim for less and do what has to be done rather than simply talking about it.
From your mercury’s standpoint in the 1st, you try to live each day as full as possible, for you know that your future security and independence depend on it. You knwo how to put your ideas to work for later years. Concentrate more on your goals and objectives. Your many friends are very important to you and you take advantage of opportunities provided by your friends and, you are the type not to forget favours you have received from them.
