Is the cabbage head meant to be John Lennon and if so why?
Rita, Miles and Saffron are the wife and children of illustrator Alan Aldridge, according to the acknowledgements in the back of the book I have. I don’t believe he is referring to Lennon though. The book was originally published in 1969, so Lennon probably did see it.
