82 Goldwing smoking grey smoke?
I have an 82 ‘wing – one owner – me. It has sat for about 17 years but I have put oil in the cylinders and turned it over from time to time. I tried to start it up a little while ago and it started right up but it smoked. After running a little the left side stopped smoking. I would run it for a little while every couple of days. I ended up with the right hand side smoking [not horribly bad but too much to drive]. I changed the spark plugs around because I had one plug that was black. Started motorcycle up again and now have a tremendous amount of smoke out of both exhaust pipes. The carbs were rebuilt a couple of years ago by a former Honda motorcycle mechanic. I know the battery is low – jump start it off of a static battery. Questions – smoke, what and remedy?

How is the water level in the radiator? From your description I would guess that you have a blown head gasket. Do a compresion test on all four but it sounds like the right side is gone.
