high current batteries
Rechargable batteries in parallel: Voltage/Current?
I have 2 (rechargable) battery-packs of total 6 Volts each. The rating is 1600mAh for each pack.
Now, if I connect both battery-packs in parallel (since I want max 6V, but higher current/power), would the max Current (mAh) add up? (3200mAh) ?
Also… I’m using this Battery Charger:

it has options for 0.9A and 1.8A, so, does that mean, that it can charge up to 1800mAh only?

In parallel, the voltage would remain the same (6 volts). The storage capacity in Ah would be the sum of the individual packs. The switch on the charger sets the charging rate. Knowing the rate, you can estimate how long it will take to charge a battery of known capacity. The lower rate puts less stress on the batteries (in the form of heat) so you can expect them to have a longer service life. The higher rate is for those times when you are in a hurry to get back in the race.
