can you put parts form a emachines in to a other case?
hello ever one well i want to know if i can take out the parts of a emachine and put them in a diffrent case its my dads computer but i had to swap PSU out so he can run my old bfg tech geforce 7900 gs but the case is to small i have to smash all the wires to make it fit what i dont like doing but i do have a old raidmax scorpio 868 laying around just want to know if i can take all the parts out of the emachine and put them in there for more space
you can, just make sure it has the right amount of wattage, older machines usually have less power, 100 or 200 watts wont do, you need around 400 on an avrage computer.
This is worked out by calculating all the power requirements inside your computer, then doubling it, this is done so your psu isnt strained, and hence not blow up on you.
