can i charge a motorcycle battery with a universal ac adapter wall charger?
just bought a brand new everstart maxx ES4LBS motorcycle battery and need to charge it. i have a universal wall charger that came with a bunch of different ends to chaarge almost any lil phone or ipod or anything with a plug. it has a selectable range of output DC voltage from 1.5 to 12v and the current is 300ma. if i cut the end of the wire and hook up the two wire to the two posts on the battery will that safely trickle charge the small battery? i read something that said the trickle charge rate should be 1/100th of the capacity of the battery and the cappacity is 3ah so 300ma on the charger is exactly right but if it would work wat volatage should i set the charger on and how long should i leave it charging? any help or other ideas would be appreciated.
quit screwing around and take to auto zone or similar and have them charge for free.
