Why does my digital camera use batteries up so much?
I did have energizer AA batteries. Now I have Eveready Gold batteries (AA). I have a hot pink Samsung Digital Camera. I just bought batteries today at 4:00 pm and got home @ 5:00. and put the batteries in @ 5:30. And just now it said, Please replace the batteries. ????? : # (face with braces) ha ha
Digital cameras need lots of power to run, and the LCD screen on your camera probably uses most of that power. Unfortunately, the batteries you are using don’t really hold enough power to run your camera for too long.
So, your best option is to buy rechargeable AA NiMH batteries (2500mAh or higher) and a charger. They do cost more initially, but provide a lot more power and are much more cost effective when you think about it. When they drain, you simply recharge them, instead of throwing them away. You could also use non rechargeable Lithium batteries, which will provide up to 5-8X more power than regular batteries.
To try and conserve your battery power, try to turn the LCD screen off in-between shots and don’t spend too much time reviewing your pretty pictures. Also, limit using the flash and recording of movies, as these also use lots of battery power.
