duralast gold batteries

duralast gold batteries
Why does my car battery keep dieing?

I have a 2004 monte carlo…in May the original battery finally died and i got a duralast gold. I have a subwoofer with a 750 watt amp hooked up to it and a capacitor for the sub. The first duralast last about 6 months. At the time i thought it was the alternator and had it tested at a car shop and it tested fine. The second time the battery only lasted a month. Also, when i had the factory battery i actually had 2 subs and a 1200 watt amp hooked to the battery with the same capacitor i have now and that battery last 4 1/2 years. Any ideas please let me know.

There are many reasons for a battery to go bad, but your stereo is not one of them. improper installation could be a factor in ‘weakening’ a battery, but your auto equipment is designed to be operated while driving [engine running]. The alternator does the supplying of power for this. I think the batteries of today have lost the quality of the good ole’ days. And to top all this off, everybody with access to lead and acid are making batteries so cheap that they charge upper regular prices for some thing they call ‘PREMIUM or GOLD’.Then they charge you for 3 of them and guarantee them for years and years! Knowing you’ll be back before this time is spent.
If you return they sell you another [Pro rated] And the cycle starts again! REMEMBER, everybody paid for three and they are not all coming back!!
I said all this to say if you continue to have a problem with these batteries, Have your equipment inspected for proper WIRING and REMOTE SWITCHING. If it is not switching properly this would constantly pull power from the battery when the engine is not running ! Consider NAPA and other made in the USA stuff.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

“BRILLIANT”!!!!
