Is there a virus that changes your boot Drive?
Blue screen on Vista Startup – IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL?
Won’t reboot except for a UBCD. Check of drives shows that the Boot Drive letter changed from C to F and Data Drive changed to C. Is this caused by a virus? Can it be removed? Attempting to run AV from UBCD hangs computer. Tried changing drive letters back in computer management but it does not stay changed.
sounds like a bug in the “boot.ini” file. it might be a VISTA bug. did you try dual booting with another OS or load linux (lilo or grub)? i don’t think UBCD can change the drive letters and make them STAY, or it could be a bug in the BIOS.
