The studio series have now face lifted into a new version and one of them is the Studio 14, the Dell Studio 14 is a slim designed, strong built, with great features for its price. With its new looks it has features like the top-tier XPS range of laptops. This system looks like it has been loaded with quite a punch. The Studio 14 with its dashing good look has impressed the market. The difference between the Inspiron the Studio is the customizable cover. The Studio series provide you with solid color or a designer look for extra cost. The red color however has a soft smooth feel.
The dimensions of the Dell Studio 14 are good, and the weight is approximately 2.4 kilos, it quite sturdy and not light weight. The design is ergonomic and is comfortable to go around with. The built quality is amazing with a sturdy beef in the screen hinge too. The inside is the black and silver color combination which adds extra glamour to the Studio 14. The screen of the Dell Studio 14 is 14 inch and the configuration is a 1600×900 pixel resolution. A regular version with T366x758 pixel is also available. The brightness is sufficient and the screen is also clear.
The speakers that are placed under the screen are loud enough and with great quality sound. The keyboard is spaced well and nice tactility. The system has been lighted under every key, with two levels of brightness you can type in the dark. The buttons are functioned to control the brightness, media playback, and WiFi/power profile / key backlighting toggle. However the touch is a bit rough.
The accuracy is good and offers multi-touch like the zooming and scrolling. A clear output and is delivered by the web-cam. On the left of the Dell Studio 14 is the LAN port and VGA, Express card/34, one USB, a memory card slot, eSATA/USB combo port and HDMI. The right of the Dell Study 14 is the slot loading optical drive, USB port and one microphone, two head phone jacks wherein you can connect two pairs of headphones at one time. The Studio 14 also has a USB power share feature. Even when the laptop is shut off, the eSATA/USB port can charge USB power devices.
