Dashboard & interior lights out in my ’90 Ford Crown Victoria LTD?
My headlights come on and work just fine but my interior lights (those in the ceiling of the car) and those that come on automatically when the door is opened or when you turn the plunger style headlight switch to the right will not come on.
All I have on my dashboard are the ‘idiot lights’ i.e. fuel, airbag, engine, etc.
BTW, the car starts fine and my battery, alternator and starter are in great shape.
Does anyone know what is wrong or how I would go about fixing it? Is it merely a blown fuse or a larger problem?
Any help would be appreciated.
You want to look for the fuse marked “instrument”. That should get you started. Once you find it, you will have to track down what caused it to blow.
