what will be the difference between an expensive compactflash card and a cheaper compactflash card?
i need to buy a compact flash card for my camera. what is the difference between the cheaper ones and more expensive ones if the speed and storage size is the same? thanks.
I agree, there’s only two. The cheaper cards won’t be as fast or as large.
On this subject here’s just an opinion. I shoot a Canon Rebel XS. I only buy 2 and 4gb cards. These little devices like to fail. The bigger, faster cards fail just as easily as the smaller cards. If you have a 16gb card that fails you’ve lost more money than if a smaller one goes south.
I get the fastest 4gb cards I can find and I always carry at least 3 with me everywhere.
Not long ago I shot a major event… 500 plus shots in a day. I uploaded and backed up. I put the card back in my camera and bingo! It was toast. Don’t ask, I don’t know why. But this is exactly the reason why I do what I do.
