Engine loss of performance and MPG after battery change. CEL is on and gives DTC P0103.?
I have a 2004 Mazda6 4-liters. I had previously installed a aftermarket intake and it was working fine. After the battery change, my car idles at very low (sub 1K) RPM and sometimes would stall if I was stopped. When going on the freeway, it takes forever to get to 65 mph and my MPG has dropped dramatically. I am thinking I am running too rich and the DTC indicates it is the MAF. I cleaned the MAF but to no avail. I also changed out the intake and reinstalled the stock airbox.
Should I replace the MAF? Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this?

Not 100 percent sure but i think 0103 is maf ckt range performance. It would be the code that would set when it was not plugged in. A dirty maf should not set this code. your three likely culprits are harness, ecm, or maf. I think that I would change maf first. One way to check some is to unplug the maf and see if it runs better. that would put it in limp mode.
