I have a Samsung 880x digital zoom 8 mm camcorder?
I have barely used it, but when I turn it on now I can not see anything trough the lens. I can replay previously recorded tapes, but I won’t see anything other than a black screen now when I try to record anything or even just look at what I want to record. What could be the problem? It is not the battery bacause I charged it and I also tried to use the camcorder while connected to an outlet.
We had the same problem with our Sony camcorder..the lense turned black. If you can play recorded video on ur television, then the main problem is the lense. Most likely, the wire that connects to the lense is probably cut or pulled from within. Not sure if its a moveable lense like ours.. but if it is..thats a common problem..since when u move the lense.. u can sometimes move the wires within, pulling it apart. Easily repaired by someone who knows what they’re doing. Goodluck to you.
