Canon Sd1200Is â No Memory Card?
I am thrilled with technology and consider myself a bit of a techno nerd. Which is to say that I’m fairly savvy about reading specs and reviews and product info. I guess I missed the part about this camera not being able to take one single picture without a memory card that had to be purchased separately. I put this lovely camera on my birthday wishlist and received it as a gift. I excitedly unpacked it and was eager to play with it until I discovered there was no memory card included.
I can’t do jack with this camera until I go out and purchase a card. Really? How much does a small memory card cost, Canon? $2? $5? Would it have bankrupted you to install a measly, token 2 GB card? At the very least, I would really have appreciated having it clearly stated that I needed to purchase one to take a picture. I would have bought one had I known. I will buy one, I’m just disappointed. I’m sure the camera will be a fine product once I get the thing I need to make it work.
Canon SD1200IS – Great Point and Shoot Pocket Camera
I just bought this Camera SD1200IS camera a few weeks ago, after my other “pocket sized” camera (a Nikon) finally could not take a picture that was not fuzzy. It’s tiny, so it can slip into your pocket and you can take it anywhere; for comparison, it’s a bit smaller than a Blackberry.
It’s also really easy to use and so far has taken great quality pictures (and videos!) without having to think much about focus, lighting, settings, etc. Literally just point and click

Nice price for a camera with great pictures, size of camera great, however the price turned out to be the same as local stores, best buy, target, walmart, even local office equipment stores, and i got my shipment in three seperate del. the sim card was backed ordered so i cancelled and went to walmart an purchased it cheeper…so back to the old story BUYER BE WARE…
Canon SD1200IS – GREAT CAMERA
I purchased this camera at Wal-Mart (the screen seemed fuzzy.) So I went to Best Buy and purchased one there (the screen was still a liitle fuzzy.) I compared the screen to my old canon (about 3 years old.) That screen was a little fuzzy too, but the pictures are great. This is a great camera, light weight, easy to use. I love it. I got the blue color and it looks so sharp. I highly recommend it. I went to a concert recently and It look OUTSTANDING pictures.

I personally think it’s a great camera for a basic traveler/camera buff who wants just a little more than a basic point and shoot. I have this camera for 20 days, take about 2000 pictures, will update more review on this camera.
