Piano/Mandolin Songbook Question?
Ok, I’m getting a songbook for my friend who’s learning Mandolin. Know he’s a huge Beatles fan, but I can’t find a Mandolin beatles songbook ANYWHERE! So my question is, if I buy him a piano songbook for The Beatles, can he play it? becuase the Mandolin and Piano are instrujents in the key of C. If not, what intrument songbook can I use for Mandolin?
Just a suggestion, you might try using a violin book. The mandolin and the violin are tuned EADG, so they would have the same chords. I have never tried this, but if you could find a Rock music for violin book, it should work, in theory.
For a mando book, I would try looking at Mel Bay’s web site, as they have a lot of instructional books.
