beatles lullaby music
What is the beatles song that is a based on a traditional song?
There might be more than one, but I swear there’s a song that took a children’s lullaby or some bit of classical music and made it into a hit. Can someone help me out?
Many of the Beatle’s songs were based on children’s nursery rhymes which of course have their origins in the UK. I did some research and came up with some interesting facts.
“All Together Now” (1968) is based around children’s rhymes.
” I am the Walrus” from 1967) but these also link to The Goon Show and the work of internal link Lewis Carroll and Edward Lear. ”

Also in “All Together Now” The words are patterned in the style of a “skipping rhyme”, used by children to keep time while skipping rope.

Julian Lennon’s 1967 drawing of Lucy in the Sky… had people mistakenly believe because of the trippy lyrics and initials of the song, that it was a song about L.S.D. John was inspired by his son, Julian’s, 1967 picture as well as Lewis Carol’s novel, “Through the Looking Glass,” from the Wool and Water chapter.
