01 yamaha r6 charging problem?
Ive been having some battery charging problems lately. It happened one night where it seems like my battery died. There was not even a display! I had to push start it to get it to run. Well the next day I bought a new Yuasa battery for it and just as a precaution from the stories i have heard, a new rectifer/regulator. After installing both, all seemed well til about 2 hrs later it died again, but this time to the point that my tail lights were flashing with every engine crank. So then we checked the battery with a load tester and it said for it to be replaced. Well according to Apex’s 2 load testers its good.
So since it charges 13.5v at 5000 rpm after i fully charge the battery then about a half an hour later when i test it the voltage is at 11.4v at 5000, does this mean my stator going out. Or may it mean that the battery isnt holding the power after so long since there may be a short in it.
