Do magnets have any affect on batteries?
I always wondered why batteries gradually drain when connected to an airsoft rifle despite weather or not the owner fires the rifle very much… Motors do have powerful magnets o.O
the magnets should have negligible effect, likely none at all
but
I suspect that the controller in the rifle is a solid state circuit
and these can and do ‘leak’ current even when ‘off’
take batteries out when not in use or, if there is a mechanical switch, make sure it is off
