Is it safe to change laptop batteries when the laptop is on and plugged in?
My laptop is on and on electric power. There’s no battery in it. I want to put the battery in and unplug it so I can go to another room. Is that safe, or do I have to turn it off, put the battery in, and turn it back on again?
Laptops are designed to be flexible with changes between AC and battery power. You’re not going to break anything by keeping the system on.
