DO you know of any reliable places to buy Dell laptop batteries other than Dell.com?
(please keep in mind that I would prefer to stay clear of ebay 100%)
I need a new battery for my Dell Inspiron 5160. I’ve been told two conflicting opinions. One person says that they have had direct experience buying dell laptop batteries, and the only one’s that have even worked have been Dell brand parts bought from dell.com. And another says that if somebody is selling a large selection of different batteries that include laptop batteries, chances are that the batteries work just fine, and that it would be impractical for them to risk selling a bum battery.
Should I stick with the dell retail $170 battery!? Should I go with a brand that either rebuilds batteries or makes their own? Or should I try to find a good company that sells lots of older parts that lists a “new” dell brand battery.
