Can you overdraw on a debit card in the UK?
I have a Lloyds TSB Under 19s Account with a Visa Debit Card. Once again, I’ve splashed out without thinking about it. I bought 10 CR2032 batteries off Amazon for £4.22 inc. p&p. According to my calculations, I only had £1.96 on my account. I’m now worried because Amazon would’ve declined the payment. I have -£2.26 now. Is this possible on a Lloyds TSB UNDER 19S account?

Since they mention ‘un-planned overdraft’, they MAY have OK’d it …
The whole idea of a Debit Card is that you can’t spend what you don’t have .. however since your account was positive when the payment was made, you might ‘get away with it’ .. further attempts to use the card are likely to be declined ..
