batteries hazardous waste
Do you properly dispose of batteries?
You’re not supposed to just throw them in the trash. You’re apparently supposed to either drop them off at places that accept them (SOME electronics shops do) or take them to a hazardous waste facility. I just learned this today. I’ve been tossing regular batteries and rechargable phone batteries in the trash this whole time… oops.

as long as I can remember my family has been saving up our old batteries in the basement. when we get a lot we take them to the hazardous waste facility
