Alternatives To Traditional Candles
Candles used to be a light source for many people before we were introduced to electricity and to light bulbs. In today’s world, candles are generally used to enhance the atmosphere, to set a romantic mood for a dinner, or a cozier mood in bars and restaurants. Most of us still keep them in our homes for special occasions or even for those times when we experience power outages. The only bad part about candles is that we cannot keep them at the reach of children. Many fires were started because adults were not careful enough with the places where they had placed the candles. Advances were made in pretty much all the areas of our lives, and we are now presented with more than one alternatives to the traditional candle that not only creates a not so pleasant scent but also constitutes a fire hazard.
The first alternative is the flameless candle. The flameless candle does not use a fuse like traditional candles do. Instead, the flameless candle will burn by using a hot surface. The hot surface heats up the wax and releases your favorite scent in the air. The flameless candle poses no fire risk because everything just stays put, and there are no components that could fall over. All you need to worry about is place a new cube of scented wax when the old one has melted away. Also the sheer variety of scents available for your flameless candle is reason enough to want to place one of these candles in all the rooms of your house. The most sought after candle scents include: Jasmine, Vanilla, cake scents, Rom, Apple, and many more.
You can even get more rare scents for your candle, like pancakes and leather. Whatever suits your needs best and makes your home more welcoming. Here are some of the famous reasons why most people decide to choose purchasing a flameless candle over the old traditional candle. First and foremost they are child friendly. The second reason is the price. A flameless candle is cost effective and does not cost double or triple the price of a traditional candle. There is an incredibly high scent variety.
The second alternative to a traditional candle is the battery candle. The battery candle is a truly spectacular invention. I myself first saw a battery candle when vacationing in Italy. There it stood on the restaurant table just brightening the scenery and setting the mood with its light show. The battery candle is basically a large wax candle that has an electronic circuit embedded in the candle’s base. With the help of a few LED’s and a power source the battery candle creates a true light show by switching between different color schemes.
