What should i do??? Hurricane Gustav???
i live in baton rouge, louisiana that’s like 85 miles (45minutes) from new orleans…we didn’t really get hit hard when Katrina came b/c we don’t rely on levees to protect to city but this is the first time in like 16yrs that a hurricane will really affect baton rouge last time this happened was in 1992 (Hurricane Andrew) but that was only a category 2 storm but they are predicting Gustav to be a category 4 so like i’m really nervous like i’m freaking out b/c i want to evacuate but since my mom is a sheriff she HAVE to stay to protect the city and all my family and friends are going to stay and ride the storm out…but the governor or mayor HAS NOT issued a mandatory evacuation for our area like we have everything we need like water, food, batteries, flashlights, radio, and stuff like that but i’m just terrified b/c i don’t want to stay and tomorrow they starting the contraflow evacuation routes so i’m not going to be able to really go anywhere….seems like i’m stuck here
Well you can do one of two things here probably. Trust that your mom won’t put you in harm’s way and ride it out with her OR explain to her your anxiety and see if she can have someone take you away from danger for a while until the storm is over.
