Eco-friendly rechargeable NiMH AA batteries
Sony, Sanyo and other market giants have introduced energy-efficient, rechargeable AA batteries that are designed for heavy use and long life. Rechargeable AA batteries are used in consumer electronic products such as TV remotes and similar devices.
Sony has recently unveiled its latest rechargeable AA battery model CycleEnergy which is an energy-efficient battery with great overall specifications. Sony’s revolutionary product feature NiMH rechargeable cells that do not discharge any by-products. The ‘Blue’ cells can be recharged up to 1,000 times. CycleEnergy cells can maintain a great self-discharge rate of about 1% per day that lets you use the same battery for about a year without recharging. Eco-friendly batteries can retain about 85% of charge without charging for about a year.
The latest technology used in CycleEnergy batteries offers ready-to-use solution without any need to charge the batteries before first use. 2000mAh capacity is good enough to handle heady applications other than TV remotes as well.
Duracell has also introduced a new range of rechargeable NiMH- AA batteries that longer with very short recharge time. Duracell rechargeable AA batteries are ideal for heavy applications and long time storing. Duracell rechargeable AA batteries are pre-charged and hence ready to use.
Duracell rechargeable AA batteries can be used without recharge for up to a year after which it starts losing its capacity to hold energy. Duracell rechargeable AA batteries do not result in ‘memory effect’ which is considered to have ill effects on electronic gadgets.
These batteries are best used as replacements for usual alkaline batteries as they last longer than other batteries and provide greater feedback. Duracell batteries can be charged up to 1,000 times without any problems. Duracell recommends using their rechargeable AA batteries with high power equipments that do not work well with other AA batteries.
