Pre-Payed Cell Phones – - A comparison?
My young son and I are going on a road trip from Northern California to New Mexico for three weeks. I’m looking into getting a pre-payed cell phone both in case of emergency as well as to book hotels while on the road. I don’t own a cell phone at home because they seemed to complicated and bothersome with the constant battery recharging, reception limitations, unpredictable payments, etc. Now I might want to give a pre-payed phone, or “temporary” cell phone a try. Do you have any recommendations for me? Something easy to use and with good reception along CA hwy 5 and AZ/NM hwy 40 on up to Taos?

You might want to try T-mobile, but be careful cause minutes go faster than what you think if you are a talker. It might be better to go in a store to pucrchase the phone because the website is a bit higher than in a store…such as Walmart.
