Akoya Mini
Medion akoya Mini E1210 Netbook shuts off without warning! Any idea why?
Hi, folks.
I hope some of you ‘techy’ types can help tell me what is wrong with my Medion akoya E1210 Mini Netbook.
Bought it from my local Aldi store back in December 08.
It worked perfectly until the middle of April this year.
Basically, I give the battery a full charge, then remove the adapter for use in battery mode.
The battery last up until the 50-47% level of remaining charge, then without warning, my netbook will shutdown.
Whatever I’m working on, will be lost.
Even if I plug in the adapter and power up straight away, my documents/projects will be lost.
I’ve tried ALL of the different powersave settings, and have even re-installed XP twice.
Nothing seems to stop my netbook powering off with the battery at a halfway charge.

Sounds as though your battery if faulty I would get it replaced under warranty. It sounds as though its unable to hold any charge less than 50% and after that its dropping to zero very quickly
