Samsung NC10 vs. Acer Aspire One?
I’m looking to purchase one of the above mentioned netbooks.
The NC10 is apparently really good, can be upgraded to 2GB RAM, 10.2″ screen and has amazing battery life, but the down side is that it is fairly expensive.
On the other had, the Acer Aspire One is not as good, can only be upgraded to a max of 1.5 GB RAM, has an 8.9″ screen, but it is cheaper.
My question is basically, which would you recommend and for what reasons. If you have one (or both), tell me what you think of it.
I’m basically looking to have my netbook run music/Office/internet at the same time. I don’t want to run any games on it.
Finally, if you know any good places where I can buy one and where they ship to Canada, I would be very grateful. (Was considering Amazon.com, but I don’t know if they ship Netbooks to Canada).
I have the AA1 linux version with two 8gb sd cards instead of a hard drive, and no dvd drive.
This netbook is designed to be small and very portable which will allow you to do anything on the net (surf, chat and e mail) and some basic office functions(using open office) as well as photo editing.
All the criticism I have heard of it is what it will not do, but It is not a high end laptop. It has its limitations, but for what its designed to do its absolutely brilliant.
The linux operating system is stripped down, there isn’t any wallpaper on my home screen, but from pressing the power button I have a working desktop in 15 seconds and I have an open browser and I am connected wirlessly to the internet in 40 seconds.
