AA lithium batteries represented the next generation of mobile power supplies when they were first introduced into the market not so long ago. The materials that are found within the battery can range from anything to lithium salts, an organic solvent and an ether to move the electrical current along from one point to another.
The advantage of using a lithium battery is enormous and you need not be educated in its most single and potent characteristic, which actually is the power that it has, with the potential to outperform and keep your electrical appliance running for more than 3 times the length of normal batteries. They are also much lighter, which means that weight and issues like transportation would not be a problem. Also, when compared to other aqueous batteries such as the nickel and metal batteries, the lead acid batteries and the cadmium batteries, the open voltage circuit nature of the lithium batteries much easier to navigate and produce. These batteries also do not suffer from what many proponents would call the ‘memory’ effect, which is in actuality, the self discharge rate that they perform on their own even when they are not in use.
Normal batteries have one that is more than 30% a month, which means that within 3 months of non use, the batteries will be completely flat and will have to be recharged all over again. Comparatively, the lithium batteries only have a rate that is about 5% a month, which allows it to be stored over a long period of time and have longer usage hours. These are some of the advantages of the lithium battery and the technology behind it is ever expanding and ever improving. Companies like Energizer are constantly on the lookout for new ingredients and chemical products that can be potentially used to extend the life of their batteries to a level never thought possible before, breaking new ground in power supply history.
