1gb xd digital card
hp laptop built in memory card reader won’t work?
I have an HP Pavillion dv1000 laptop & it has a built in memory card reader. It should read SD, MS/Pro, MMC, SM & XD. I have a 1gb SD memory card for my digital camera & I would like to be able to use this built in reader. However, when I put the memory card in the reader, nothing happens. There is a light next to the slot, but it doesn’t light up when I put the card in. Is there something that I need to download to make it work (like a driver or program of some sort)? I really have no idea what needs to be done, or maybe the slot is broken. Please help!

This should solve the problem. If it doesnot then you should go to www.hp.com and download the drivers after specifying the exact Laptop Model and Operating System
